Continuing our tour of local wildflowers, Nancy and I headed east along the Columbia River Gorge to the Memaloose Overlook Trail. The Gorge is always amazing, with trails, waterfalls, views of sheer basalt cliffs and sloping hills, and a really big river. There’s beauty everywhere you look in any season, but Spring is showtime for the wildflowers, and our timing this year was perfect, with flowers in full bloom and mild weather just right for a hiking.
Nancy writes about this trip, and has many more beautiful wildflower photos, on her blog.
