Finley NWR is south of Corvalis, about an hour and a half drive from home. There are several different habitats that support a variety of species: the wetlands house migrating waterfowl (who always seem distant from the viewpoints on the trail), and I am intrigued by this example of what much of the Willamette Valley was like before most of the oaks were cleared for agriculture.
