Birds Watching

I spend a lot of time watching birds, wondering who they are, what they’re doing, how they fit with the place I found them. I often get the feeling that they are doing the same with me. After being examined carefully by a hawk that visited our backyard, I thought I’d go through my bird gallery and select some photos that captured that return gaze.

Oh, this is fantastic! What a great collection and I am so impressed at so many “backyard birds”. The hawks are wonderful and that one little one with tipped head is sitting at such an angle that I can’t tell either. Peewee is a good guess. Thanks for the show!

Thanks! It’s fun to go out to get these photos, and fun again to go through them again looking at a theme.

Next in line are more backyard photos from last week. I think the birds were anticipating the harsh weather, because we had a crowd in the mornings for a couple days in a row.

      Thanks for being here –
