It had been more than a year since my last visit to Jackson Bottom. October is an in-between time there, after the excitement of nesting season for the perching birds, and before there’s enough water for the arrival of migratory waterfowl. It’s still an interesting spot in the Tualatin River Watershed to visit, even though this time my best photos were taken at the bird feeder at the Visitor Center.
