Virginia, April 2024: Birds

This year we had a chance to explore Virginia in the springtime, and what a show! Here are some of the bird photos. Another blog will feature the flowers and landscapes. And Nancy wrote about the trip on her blog.

There were many new birds and other avian highlights on this trip. Daily activity around the bird feeder brought Woodpeckers, Tufted Titmouses, Eastern Bluebirds, Carolina Wrens, Cardinals, plus other more familiar west coast birds to our doorstep. Outings brought us to Catbirds, Cowbirds, a Pileated Woodpecker, a Prothonotary Warbler, Brown Thrashers, and an Osprey building a nest.
